Fun 5k

I enjoyed the race. Very organized. Only suggestions is to make sure the route that is posted is the route that is actually set off for participants to run on race day. I prepared for this race by running the attached map then on race day the route was completely different. Also, announce race results sooner. After running a 5k most are wanting to shower, eat, and rest. The race was over a little after 10 and at noon I’m still here awaiting announcement of results....hungry tired and in need of a shower.

The race was ok. But there was an apparent lack of safety with cars driving on the course and crossing the streets while dodging runners. There wasn’t enough of a running lane blocked off and it wasn’t always clear. One car was even driving in the same lane as the runners as we ran downtown.

Race was fun

I had a lot of fun running my first race in MS. I usually run in Florida. I actually did the walk instead of the run. My only complaint would be that times are not posted. I would love to see a board or computer screen with the final times. This way, those that don’t place do not have to stay to hear the results. Then we were told the results are already up on the time2run site but there is nothing for this race in this year. Times are very important to individual participants whether they place or not.
