A Quick Stroll Down Main Street
The first 200-300m of the course is uphill, but afterwards, it is straight and relatively flat. The course takes you down a 1.5 mile stretch of Main Street to a turnaround point. The turnaround point is a tight turn that goes around cones, so you will lose some speed there. However, when you reach the last 300-400 m of the final stretch, you will be going downhill, so you will have the opportunity to make up any time that was lost at the turnaround point. The 2022 race was a fairly small affair, but it did use a chip timing system. Overall, it was a good experience. I'm looking forward to doing it again.
